2. TRAINEESHIPS IN INTERNATIONALISATION

Iceland University of the Arts started to offer placement grants to its graduates through the Leonardo programme in 2007. Since then, the number of students and graduates completing internship abroad has grown steadily. Since the start of Erasmus+ programme (when Leonardo was merged with Erasmus) the statistics have continued to grow and currently 45% of all student mobility is in the form of a traineeship. In this session we will look at ways to promote this type of activity in our institutions, consider its content and value, as well as the importance of quality.
