The core mission of the ActinArt network is to support and facilitate Nordic/Baltic arts academies' process in developing an entrepreneurial mindset within the curricula. Entrepreneurial mindset refers to a set of hard and soft skills which will help the students and teachers to increase their awareness of the importance of career building and to develop a proactive approach to professional integration (e.g. knowledge of employment opportunities).

The importance of the ActinArt network lies in its role as a facilitator and a forum. ActinArt facilitates students, alumni, faculty and administration of the universities to think and learn various legal, financial, social and managerial aspects of art and its audiences together with their professional development as an artist, educator or administrator.
