Live Space

19 - 26 April 2026, Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre

The LIVE SPACE project is a week-long event dedicated to the training of electronic and electroacoustic music performers and creators within a dynamic society. The focus of the project is mainly on the exploration of sophisticated spatial sound systems, and how this technology can be transformed into art—whether through fixed media or live performance.

The programme is available HERE

The main focus is on equipping participants with the skills and practical knowledge necessary for creating and performing electroacoustic music in different spaces with different 3D audio setups. It emphasises the development of artistic projects and co-creation, exploring the role of musicians as contributors to society and cultural landscapes. LIVE SPACE is structured to accommodate the open, creative nature of participants from diverse artistic backgrounds. The workshop aims to blend different skills pertinent to electronic and electroacoustic composers/performers. Students from participating institutions are given the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning and perform in various venues across the city engaging with different contexts and spatial audio setups. Performances are designed to facilitate mutual support and co-creation.

The first session of the course took place 22 - 28 April 2024, the second session was organised 7- 12 April 2025.
